08.04.07 | Kindberg Collects at Thunder Mountain Speedway.

After winning the first heat race, Mike Keppler’s coin toss placed Chuck Miller on the pole for the feature. Chris Stockham scored the second heat race victory.  At the drop of the green, Miller led George Loux into to turn one and led the first lap.  Sixth place starter Doug Borger was already busy working the high side and was in second when he blasted around the top and wrestled the point from Miller down the backstretch to lead lap 2.  Borger moved to the bottom and nearly spun out several times when he jumped back up to the rail.  Kindberg was in hot pursuit and showed a nose on the bottom for four laps until he dived under Borger for good on the 8th circuit.  A lap nine caution for Stockham and Brian Mady bunched the field.  Mike Keppler was now in third after starting tenth.  Kindberg showed some muscle up front as Keppler finally got by Borger for second on lap 14.  Caution flags waved again for a spinning Eric Witbe on lap 15.  Kindberg led the final five laps and scored his third victory at Thunder Mountain Speedway.  Keppler, Borger and Goerge Loux jostled for position and were scored second through fourth respectively.  Joe Fanelli got his first top five of the year.  Post race inspection found Borger to be 6 pounds light and was disqualified.
