06.03.07 | RaceCeiver one-way radios to be mandated. The 600 Modified Series will be requiring all drivers to use a RaceCeiver one-way radio device by July 13th, 2007. Cost for the equipment is $100.00 and can be purchased directly from Xcel Chassis. Tests were conducted over two races with different drivers who could hear race control clearly both under race and caution conditions. Doug Borger offered, "The purpose of the RaceCeivers are to deliver a higher quality show to the fans and to reduce unnecessary accidents that occur after the caution comes out." The Series requests that owners purchase the unit by June 23rd's race at Grandview Speedway.
